Production Notes: This image required type to wrap around the wire. Since there were multiple ads sizes (page and spread), and two other images, I had to come up with a production technique that would be efficient. The client supplied Quark mechanicals with the wire type set in Illustrator containing an embedded FPO.

I came up with the solution of recreating Andale Mono Tubular . I used Fontographer and Illustrator to distort the type and recreate the new font (all characters). Now, all I had to do was change the type to the new font. The updated setting need some kerning, but it worked very well. It helped to have the new font for the other two wire shapes.
