Production Notes: The client provided a studio shot of the boy at the desk and a Titanic photo. I silhouetted the background to white, stripped in the screen art and color corrected the photos. I created the water puddle by drawing paths in Photoshop and filling them with neutral color. I used some channel operations to create the water highlights. The chair reflection was made using a combination of hand drawing and cloning.
